Why I Do This
Like many Hungarian students, I once stood at the crossroads of big decisions: Where should I study? How do I apply abroad? How do I get a job?
When I applied for my bachelor’s, I chose Germany and was admitted to Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) Munich, where I studied Business Administration. Getting there wasn’t easy: I had to navigate confusing requirements, strict deadlines, and the challenge of writing convincing application documents in a foreign language. But with persistence and preparation, I succeeded.
After my bachelor’s, I gained practical experience at PwC, one of the Big Four. In fact, I was fortunate to be accepted by all the consulting firms I applied to at that time including two other Big Four companies. These experiences showed me how critical it is to present your skills in the right way and to prepare for every stage of recruitment.
Later, I pursued my master’s degree at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Management and Technology. Once again, the application process demanded careful planning and well-crafted documents, but by then I knew how to approach it strategically.
After my studies, I aimed even higher and went through the consulting recruiting process once again, this time successfully landing an offer at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). It was the culmination of years of learning how to overcome application hurdles, from the first CV draft to final case interviews.
Looking back, I realized that at every stage, I faced the same core challenges: unclear instructions, stiff competition, and high pressure to stand out. What made the difference was guidance, preparation, and understanding the hidden rules of admissions and recruitment.
That’s why I created Study & Career Boost. I know what it feels like to start from abroad and aim for opportunities abroad or in consulting. I’ve lived the journey myself and I want to make it easier for others. My mission is simple: to share what I’ve learned so no other student has to face these challenges alone.
